WICH Settles Into A Weekly Feature
I have relaxed my sister blog Who's In Charge Here? into a weekly installment, which seems to be a nice fit.
We are actually entering the realm of double-digit votes, which I'm quite excited about. It's really fun having people attempt to discern a bandleader based on a photo I supply, and people often have an interesting and/or funny observation regarding the picture.
So, as just a reminder to you... At the start of a week (usually Mondays), I'll --
1. Post the results of the previous week's voting
2. Post a new photo to be voted on
If you have a hankering to vote, please do so.

Can You Come Out And Play?
Please find enclosed in this post a heartfelt plea to come with me on the playground to swing on the swings, slide down the slide, and kick the kickball around.
I want to have fun. I want YOU to have fun.
I have a nice game where you can have fun, but here's the kicker. The more people play, the more fun. The less people play, the less fun.
I have another blog, Who's In Charge Here?.
I've been trying to get people to visit there. It's not about amassing visits on my hit counter, it's not about generating ad revenue (not having ads is actually a severe handicap on ad revenue). It's about FUN. F-U-N.
This game is easy and hard at the same time. There is no wrong answer. But arriving at what you consider the right answer can require some effort and thinking on your part.

The answer is not one single goddamn other place. American Idol? NO WAY.

If no one votes on the recent WICH post for KISS tribute band Mr. Speed by Wednesday, 4:00PM CST , there is a very distinct possibility that the Peter Kriss tribute guy will be designated the leader.

Who Wants A Nickel?
I'll give a shiny imaginary nickel for every unique vote cast in each of the first ten band entries of my new blog, Who's In Charge Here?.
But wait! There's more!
If you refer another person to the WICH blog, and they in turn cast at least one vote in one of the first ten entries, you'll get a crisp, nonexistent two-dollar bill, adorned with a picture of a nekkid man or woman drawn by Splotchy (your choice!).
The first entry has already ended, and the second is underway, so get going! This made-up money is looking for a pocket to jump into! Could that pocket be yours?

Genre: Indie, with keyboard flavoring and garage drippings

The Verdict (UPDATED!)
Barbara put her faith in the leadership of the hat-wearing dude, while the majority of the remaining votes went to the vivacious, big-teethed ginger plopped down in the center of the picture.
Manx indicates that he believes Ginger was also the photographer, but, if you don't mind me adding a couple cents to the pot, I think it's hat dude taking the pic.
Noting that Dr. Zaius voted for the photographer, if the photographer was indeed the hat dude, then that would make it a tie for leader of the 1900s. Seeing as we don't know for certain who the photographer was, Ginger keeps the crown!

I don't wanna wait a whole week to start a band on my new Who's In Charge? blog.
So I'm going to let the 1900's post complete here, and I've started a new band on the other blog.

Splotchy Announces A Spinoff
I came up with a Who's In Charge Here? feature a month or so ago which I got really excited about, but have been kind of frustrated with how it is turning out.
The frustration mostly arises from the fact that the feature gets buried under all the other crap I post on this blog.
So, I'm spinning the feature off into its own blog, Who's In Charge Here?.
The 1900s post which I just recently made will be the last you'll see of the feature on I, Splotchy.
If you like this feature, I'd really appreciate you visit the new blog from time-to-time. At this point, I'm planning on doing a Monday post, leave it open for voting for the entire week, then announcing the verdict from the tally of votes on the following Monday.

The Verdict (UPDATED!)
Okay, enough time has elapsed, methinks, to render a verdict. Goddammit. Did I just say "methinks"? Oh, these crazy medieval-dressing troubadours, they have all my four humours in a churned-up state.
Jin gave what I would call a half-hearted vote to the dude, qualifying it by indicating that his authority was really only in his mind. I'm afraid that I can't count that as a full vote, as the leadership question is still somewhat open to interpretation with her delicately-phrased comment.
Manx, without hesitation or concern for his personal safety, picked the fair lady on the left.
Although Bubs brought some very relevant information to the table, he left his vote back at the SRC (that stands for Sprawling Ramshackle Compound -- be forewarned, he'll use that acronym from time to time).
Surprisingly, kristi did not vote, despite the fact that she is apparently in this band (that's her on the right).
So, with one vote, girl on the left with the weird white lines and curly hair and/or ribbons wins.

We're going to try a new wrinkle on this feature. Before today, I have made pronouncements on high as to the leader of the respective bands I have posted. I now open the floor for comments, and attempt to engage you, dear reader, to answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"
